Finvision is built by Vegarise(“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information Finvision collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information. By downloading or using Finvision you agree to this policy.
1. Our privacy-first approach
Finvision is designed with privacy as a core constraint, not an afterthought. Your financial data — income, bills, transactions, goals — is stored exclusively in SwiftData on your iPhone or iPad. It never leaves your device as part of ordinary app use. No account is required to use Finvision.
2. Information we collect
2a. Data that stays on your device (all users)
The following data is stored locally in SwiftData and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Monthly income and essential bills you enter
- Expense transactions and categories
- Savings goals and progress
- Planning mode settings and preferences
- Historical monthly data
We have no technical ability to access this data. If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently deleted from your device.
2b. Penny AI (Finvision Gold subscribers only)
Penny is an AI assistant powered by a Cloudflare Workerwe operate. When you send a message to Penny, the app constructs an anonymised “behavioural fingerprint” derived from your financial data. This fingerprint contains:
- Aggregated spending patterns by category (e.g., “food: 18% of budget”)
- Month-over-month pace indicators
- Goal progress percentages
- The specific question you typed
The fingerprint does not contain:
- Individual transaction amounts or descriptions
- Payee names or merchant names
- Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
- Device identifiers
Requests are processed by our Cloudflare Worker, which calls a third-party large language model API to generate Penny's response. The anonymised fingerprint and your question are transmitted for the purpose of generating the reply. We do not store conversation history on our servers. We do not use your data to train AI models.
2c. Crash reports and diagnostics (optional)
If you opt in to sharing diagnostics with Apple (via iOS settings), Apple may provide us with anonymised crash logs through App Store Connect. These logs contain technical stack traces and device model/OS version — no financial data. This is controlled entirely by your iOS “Share iPhone Analytics” setting.
2d. App Store purchases
Finvision Gold is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). We do not process or store payment information. All billing data is handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive only a non-identifiable receipt confirmation to verify your subscription status.
2e. No analytics or tracking
Finvision does not include any third-party analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.). We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA). We do not track your behaviour across apps or websites. The Finvision marketing website (finvision.vegarise.io) is a static site with no tracking cookies.
3. How we use information
The limited information we receive is used solely to:
- Generate Penny's AI responses (anonymised fingerprints only, Gold tier)
- Verify active Finvision Gold subscription status (StoreKit receipt)
- Diagnose crashes in order to fix bugs (opt-in Apple diagnostics only)
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data retention
- On-device data: Retained until you delete the app or clear app data.
- Penny AI requests: Not stored on our servers. Processed in memory and discarded after the response is generated.
- Subscription receipt: Verified in real time via StoreKit; we do not store receipts.
5. Children's privacy
Finvision is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the Penny AI feature, please contact us at privacy@vegarise.io and we will take appropriate steps.
6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because your financial data never leaves your device, you already have full control over it — you can view, edit, export (Gold), or delete it at any time within the app or by deleting the app entirely.
For the limited data processed server-side (Penny AI requests):
- Right to know: This policy describes what is sent. No persistent identifiable records exist to retrieve.
- Right to delete: Requests are not stored. There is nothing to delete on our end.
- Right to opt out: You can disable the Penny AI feature at any time in Finvision settings.

7. Security
On-device data is protected by iOS device encryption and the iOS sandbox. Penny AI requests are transmitted over TLS. Our Cloudflare Worker processes requests without persistent logging of financial content.
8. Third-party services
Finvision uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: In-app purchases and subscription management. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare: Hosts our Penny AI Worker. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- AI model provider: Powers Penny's responses. Receives only the anonymised fingerprint described in Section 2b.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or via the App Store update notes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Finvision after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
